Our Guest Speaker this year is Jaccob Slavin:

Jaccob Slavin is a top line defender for the Carolina Hurricanes. Born in Denver, Colorado, Slavin was selected by the Hurricanes in the 4th round of the 2012 NHL draft. Since being called up at the beginning of the 2015-2016 season, Slavin has been an anchor for the Canes defense. He has been awarded the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy twice in his career, most recently this past season. Slavin is married to Kylie and they have two children, Emersyn and Charlie. In everything, Jaccob seeks to give All Glory to God (#AGTG) and is involved in gospel work in the Triangle and around the world through organizations like Fellowship of Christian Athletes and International Justice Mission. While many first think of Jaccob as a professional athlete, he finds his core identity as a servant of Christ: "For am I now trying to persuade people, or God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ"- Galatians 1:10.
