Dr. Dwayne Milioni
Lead Pastor/Elder (
Dwayne Milioni has been the Lead Pastor of Open Door Church in Raleigh since 1999. He and his wife Kay moved to North Carolina from Virginia, where they both received Masters Degrees from Liberty University. Dwayne graduated with his Ph.D. from Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, where he currently serves as Assistant Professor of Preaching and Coordinator of the PhD in Preaching program. Dwayne also serves as Board Chairman for the Pillar Church Planting Network. Dwayne and Kay have four grown children: Cameron, Victoria, Derek, and Gabriel, along with their faithful dog Fosdick.
Pastor of Administration and Member Care/Elder ( )
Mark Armstrong has been the Pastor of Administration since April 2005. Mark received his BS from Valdosta State University and an MDiv from Southeastern Baptist Theological
Seminary. Mark has been married to his wife, Carrie, since 2000. They are the proud parents of three children and are active in advocating for orphan care. Mark is a past president of the Triangle chapter of The Church Network. In addition to serving the church, Mark enjoys the outdoors whether he’s hiking, doing yard work, or playing with his kids.
Eric Dillon has been a member of Open Door for the past 16 years. He is a Raleigh native, and attended Appalachian State University where he met his wife Sally. Sally and Eric were married in 1984, and soon after moved to Winston Salem, NC to continue his career in the Industrial Supply Business. In 2001, he and Sally, along with their children Jennifer, Sarah, and Kate moved back to Raleigh through a work transfer. Jennifer and Sarah are now married, and Kate is engaged to be married in April 2017. Eric was saved while his children were small and is thankful to God that they grew up in a Christian home. Eric and Sally have been very active in their children's lives and enjoy serving together at Open Door in various capacities. More recently, they enjoy spending time with their grandson John Duke!
Minister to Children and their Families (
Chris has been a member at Open Door since 2000. He has served in various roles at Open Door including care group leader, deacon, and is also active in the counseling ministry. He and his wife Traci were married in 2004 and are the proud parents of four children. Their family is active in adoption and orphan care ministry. Chris graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a BS in Music Education. He also earned an MDiv from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Chris and Traci find great joy in ministering to their community. It is their great joy to serve Open Door’s children and families. Their goal in this ministry is to lay a foundation for the gospel in the hearts of children and work to establish Christ-centered families.
Minister of Community Life ( )
Kevin has been a member at Open Door since 2003. He has been on staff since 2009. He serves as the Minister of Community Life and oversees our small group ministry as well as our new member process. Kevin attended Southeastern College and Seminary over a span of 7 years where he completed his B.A. and MDiv. During that time, he met Jessica and they were married in 2004. They have 3 boys named Braylon, Carson, and Mason. Kevin’s free time is usually spent playing with his kids, visiting with friends, reading, or exercising.
Minister to Students and their Families ( )
Michael has been a member at Open Door since 2010. He and his wife, Emily, have been married five years and have one daughter, Amelia. They love serving together in ministry, being a part of community at Open Door, and seeing the gospel transform people's lives. Michael is currently working on his Ph.D. in Biblical Studies at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Michael and Emily are blessed to be a part of the Open Door family and are excited about being a part of the work God is doing through this church to reach our community and nations with gospel of Jesus Christ.
Minister of Worship (
Jimmy came to Open Door as the Minister of Worship in January of 2017. He married his wife, Katie in 2006 and they are proud parents of two boys, James and Judah. Jimmy is currently finishing his undergrad degree at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with the goal to complete an Advanced MDiv degree focused on pastoral ministry. Jimmy has led worship for 15 years in various ministries including church plants and established churches. He completed a Worship Residency training through the Summit Church. His vision is to create an atmosphere that allows people to fully engage in worship and unify as the body of Christ in celebration of His goodness as they grow to know Him more intimately. He loves spending time with his family camping, exploring new cities, and enjoying God's creation.
