Dwayne Milioni has been the Lead Pastor of Open Door Church in Raleigh since 1999. He and his wife Kay moved to North Carolina from Virginia, where they both received Masters Degrees from Liberty University. Dwayne graduated with his Ph.D. from Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, where he currently serves as Assistant Professor of Preaching and Coordinator of the
Pastor of Administration and Member Care/Elder ( )
Mark Armstrong has been the Pastor of Administration since April 2005. Mark received his BS from Valdosta State University and an MDiv from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Mark has been married to his wife, Carrie, since 2000. They are the proud parents of three children and are active in advocating for orphan care. Mark is a past president of the Triangle chapter of The Church Network. In addition to serving the church, Mark enjoys the outdoors whether he’s hiking, doing yard work, or playing with his kids.

Aroldo Couto has been a member of Open Door since 2007. He is a native of Brazil where he received his BS in Computer and Electrical Engineering. In a pursuit of a higher education
He and his wife Sandra were married in 2003 and are the proud parents of two children: Daniel and Natalia. From 2011 through 2013, he was mentored by the pastors of Open Door and in 2013 he concluded the pastoral ministry internship. Early 2016, the pastors and members of Open Door affirmed God’s calling on his life and he was ordained as one of its pastors. Aroldo and Sandra enjoy serving together in the Hispanic
Minister to Children and their Families (
Chris has been a member at Open Door since 2000. He has served in various roles at Open Door including CareGroup leader, Deacon, and is also active in the counseling ministry. He and his wife Traci were married in 2004 and are the proud parents of four children. Their family is active in adoption and orphan care ministry. Chris graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a BS in Music Education. He also earned an MDiv from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Chris and Traci find great joy in ministering to their community. It is their great joy to serve Open Door’s children and families. Their goal in this ministry is to lay a foundation for the gospel in the hearts of children and work to establish Christ-centered families.
Minister of Community Life ( )
Kevin has been a member at Open Door since 2003. He has been on staff since 2009. He serves as the Minister of Community Life and oversees our small group ministry as well as our new member process. Kevin attended Southeastern College and Seminary over a span of 7 years where he completed his B.A. and MDiv. During that time, he met Jessica and they were married in 2004. They have 3 boys named Braylon, Carson, and Mason. Kevin’s free time is usually spent playing with his kids, visiting with friends, reading, or exercising.
Minister to Students and their Families ( )
Sean Robinson is originally from the Washington DC area but now calls Raleigh, NC home. Sean received his undergraduate degree from Hampton University in Virginia and a Masters in Intercultural Studies as well a Masters in Ministry Leadership from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.
Sean and his wife Adrienne are both passionate about helping young people come to know Jesus and faithfully pursue Him over the course of a lifetime. They both were saved in their early college years, making their ministry to students all the more personal and relevant. Sean is also passionate about seeing students pursue the Lord in diverse communities. He has spent time serving in various countries on mission trips and wants to help students value and pursue the Great Commission in their neighborhood and across the globe.
Minister of Worship (
Jimmy came to Open Door as the Minister of Worship in January of 2017. He married his wife, Katie in 2006 and they are proud parents of two boys, James and Judah. Jimmy is currently finishing his undergrad degree at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with the goal to complete an Advanced MDiv degree focused on pastoral ministry. Jimmy has led worship for 15 years in various ministries including church plants and established churches. He completed a Worship Residency training through the Summit Church. His vision is to create an atmosphere that allows people to fully engage in worship and unify as the body of Christ in celebration of His goodness as they grow to know Him more intimately. He loves spending time with his family camping, exploring new cities, and enjoying God's creation.
